Video Premiere: Groves' California Dreams Are Realized In 'Swim'

The Good Charlotte-approved indie rock band is back with the ultimate summer visual

Earlier this month, we premiered the latest single from the Good Charlotte-approved Los Angeles rock band GROVES. It's called "Swim," and it's a beautiful ode to the band's California home. Today we're pumped to share the official video for the song. Check it out above.

Frontman Stephen Salisbury told us about the video:

"This whole video was done with the same crew we had for the Ender video, so for the most part it felt pretty familiar and stress free. Jake Stark, our director, we've worked with on several projects and we always have a great experience with him. It's not often you meet someone who's got talent and vision, but is also a pleasure to work with. So we consider ourselves lucky in that department. And of course, we had Josh Madden with us, who's worked on countless music videos and has pretty much seen it all. Having someone with that kind of experience on set is pretty invaluable. We already work very closely with Josh through our management, MDDN. But really got to give him credit cause he was there with us every step of the way when it comes to look, aesthetic and over all feel."

He continued:

"As far as the shoot goes, I remember standing on some rocks looking at the ocean around 4:30 am, and thinking, man I wonder if we're gonna get wet. My question was soon answered as a giant wave came in. Let's just say if there was a soggiest feet in America contest, Groves would have won that day for sure. Once we finished at the beach, the rest of the shoot was a breeze. I rode along the coast for a few hours in a '64 convertible mustang, then rocked out in a beach house that once belonged to John Belushi, and that's all she wrote.

"I think the end results are quite beautiful and cinematic. We are very excited to share this video with the world."
