(hed) p.e. Would Rather Sing About Family Than 'Crystal Meth & Strippers'
(hed) p.e. has always been about having fun while making political statements, but with their latest album, the rap-rockers would rather sing about family.
Yes, the 9/11 truthers are now singing about the struggles of parenthood, rather than "strippers and crystal meth," Jahred tells Fuse about their Forever! album.
"It's always a reflection of where I'm at in my life," Jahred says about his songwriting. "For years, I was constantly lecturing about shadow government and the military industrial complex and E.T. realities. Now it's more introspective, you know, where I'm like trying to talk about how it is trying to be a real husband and a real father and a provider."
