Laura Marano Talks 'Celebratory, Screw-You' Single 'La La': Watch

Like so many great Disney Channel personalities before her, Laura Marano is making the transition from actor to pop star. The former Austin & Ally starlet's new single "La La" makes a good case for pop success thanks to some great collaborators (Laura wrote the track with Justin Tranter, who's on a roll with recent songs like Justin Bieber's "Sorry" and Selena Gomez's "Hands to Myself") and the empowering-yet-carefree message.

Watch above as Marano describes her new single, which she declares is a "happy, fun, celebratory, screw-you song." The singer-actor adds that "La La" previews her upcoming album, which drops later this year and will include some hip-hop guest stars.
