Banks & Steelz Compare Their Chemistry to a Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich: Interview

We caught up with the hip-hop/indie act backstage at Made in America

Banks & Steelz's Paul Banks and RZA come from two different musical backgrounds, hip-hop and indie rock, that make their chemistry so unique. We caught up with the duo during last weekend's Made in America festival, where they referred to themselves as a yummy treat.

"We got a good dynamic of wild energy and contained energy. I like to compare me and Paul to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. They are both good by themselves, but put them together and you got a better sound," RZA says.

The duo go on to explain how they first got connected by their manager Tyler Childs and how their debut album, Anything But Words, came out. The artists then shift things by discussing...monkeys and evolution.
