Angels & Airwaves Gush Over Their 'I-Empire' Album: Watch the Classic 2007 Interview

Plus, watch Tom DeLonge and the guys "haze" A&A's new bassist Matt Wachter on former Fuse show 'The Sauce'

For Class of 2007 Week, Fuse is celebrating all the greatest things culture gave us exactly one decade ago. After releasing their 2006 debut album We Don't Need to WhisperAngels & Airwaves wasted no time with its follow-up, dropping I-Empire in late 2007. In a classic interview on former Fuse show The Sauce, the supergroup started gushing over their latest creation.

Check out a then-31-year-old Tom DeLonge explaining the concept behind I-Empire and how it connects to the story the band started with their debut album. Though, eventually DeLonge is even stuck for words for how much he loves the record, simply telling host Steven Smith, "Um, it's really good."

Watch the full interview above that includes more insight into I-Empire and some friendly hazing on bassist Matt Wachter who, at the time, was the group's newest member.

Keep the nostalgia going with more from Fuse's Class of 2007 Week over here. Next, watch a classic interview from a year earlier when Angels & Airwaves had just formed in 2006:
