CeeLo to Join Madonna at Super Bowl

Last week, Madonna, cagey as always, alluded to some special female guests joining her at the singer's upcoming Super Bowl performance, but now it looks like CeeLo will be lending his services to Madge as well.

When asked if Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. would be up on stage with her, the singer told MTV News earlier this week, ""I am not saying 'Yes,' and I am not saying 'No.' Pom poms. That's all I can tell you." While we wonder if that's her pet name for Nicki Minaj's chest, TheInsider.com reports that CeeLo has been traveling to New York the past two weeks to practice with the singer.

With Green's show "The Voice" premiering right after the Super Bowl, it seems like the perfect synergy, barring any awkward post-performance CeeLo plug ("If you don't watch 'The Voice,' that makes you craaaaaazyyyyyyyy.") Personally, we'd love to see CeeLo perform "F**k You" while Up With People cheers and smiles in the background, or at the very least shock the world by dropping his verse from "Cell Therapy." But sadly, we'll probably just get a medley of Madonna's hits with Green doing his I'm-scary-but-I'm-really-a-cuddly-bear act. Can we at least have him play the Danny Aiello role in "Papa Don't Preach"? A boy can dream.
