Adele Applies for Helicopter License
Famed UK songstress Adele, recent winner of six GRAMMY Awards, has applied for a helicopter license to be flown on and off her enormous country mansion in Sussex, a county in southern England. It doesn't look like Adele will be flying the chopper herself, but hey, maybe she'll be enchanted by it and write a concept album about it which will be entitled, simply, 23.
Adele's $11 million estate has ten bedrooms, two swimming pools, tennis courts and a helicopter hangar and landing pad, so getting the helicopter seemed like a natural choice for her.
A source told The Sun, "Adele's property has so much land she thought, 'Why not? It will cut down her journey time by some distance and it also means she won't have to rely so heavily on cars. She's a busy woman and needs to get to places with minimal disruption."
Before moving into the huge estate (but after winning her first GRAMMY), Adele was living with her mother in Tottenham, a neighborhood in North London.
