Lana Del Rey, A$AP Rocky Added to SXSW Lineup
SXSW doesn't seem too bothered with the recent Lana Del Rey backlash following her Saturday Night Live performance (which was ripped by everyone from Brian Williams to Juliette Lewis and defended by Daniel Radcliffe). The singer is one of the latest artists to join the festival's lineup.
SXSW.com posted the festival's 2012 schedule on Tuesday, with a slew of new acts added to the bill since last month's most recent talent update.
Lana Del Rey, A$AP Rocky, Best Coast, BRIT Awards nominee Ed Sheeran, The Drums, Of Montreal and Counting Crows are among the artists now confirmed for the festival, joining previously announced artists John Mayer, Neon Trees, Talib Kweli, The Joy Formidable, The Fray, Built to Spill, Asking Alexandria, Das Racist, The Magnetic Fields, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Blitzen Trapper and hundreds more. Bruce Springsteen will be the event's keynote speaker. See the full list of artists here.
The SXSW music, film and interactive festival runs from March 9-18 in Austin, Texas. Concerts, music showcases and panels begin March 13. Visit SXSW.com for registration details.
UPDATE: Lana Del Rey has since canceled her SXSW performance.
