The Internet Hates Nicki Minaj's New Track
Nicki Minaj, the New York rapstress who took the world by storm when she appeared on Kanye West's "Monster" and has gotten bigger ever since, seems to have started pissing people off. Whether it's BET banning her new video, the world in general being annoyed by her GRAMMY Awards performance, or critics loathing her last new track "Starships," Nicki just doesn't seem to be the unassailable darling she once was. She's developing a huge hatebase.
Her streak of doing things people aren't fond of continued yesterday with the release of the studio version of "Roman Reloaded," the track she debuted at the GRAMMY Awards. The simplest way to gauge peoples' reaction to the track is popular rap blog 2dopeboyz.com's rating system: "Roman Reloaded" has 140 NOPEs and only 27 DOPEs.
So count us in the minority when we tell you this track is dope. Nicki raps ferociously, the beat sounds like bees flying around your head in the best way, and Lil Wayne is on point. Just give it a chance. Listen here.
