Bobby Brown Arrested on Suspicion of DUI
Bobby Brown was arrested Monday afternoon in the San Fernando Valley on suspicion of driving under the influence, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Officers pulled the singer over for talking on his cellphone around 12:20 PM, but then administered a field sobriety test, California Highway Patrol officer Mike Harris said.
Brown's arrest comes just four days after the L.A. County Coroner released the results of the autopsy on Brown's ex-wife, singer Whitney House, who was discovered dead in the bathtub of her hotel room on Feb. 11. The official cause of death, according to the report, was accidental drowning, but the coroner also found traces of cocaine in her blood. The coroner said Houston, 48, had used cocaine "in the time period just immediately prior to her collapse..." Chronic cocaine use and heart disease were listed as contributing factors in her death.
Brown and Houston, who met in 1989 at the Soul Train Music Awards and married three years later, divorced in 2007. Houston was given custody of their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
