Flaming Lips Musical to Open in Los Angeles Later This Year

The musical, based on the Oklahoma band's 2002 album Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, will tell the story of a young Japanese artist who journeys into a robot world where she must contend with a host of evil forces. [LA Times]

Jack Black: Courtney Love's 'Muppets Raped Kurt' Claim is Absurd

The actor/rocker has responded to Courtney Love, who recently said that The Muppets raped her late husband Kurt Cobain's legacy by including a cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in the recent The Muppets movie. "That's absurd, absurd, absurd," he said.  "I personally hold no one in higher esteem in the world of rock. He was the king."
