Syrian President Bashar al-Assad—whose violent crackdown on peaceful protests has put the Syrian death toll above 5,000—is a big fan of American Top 40 music.

The Guardian recently leaked a bunch of emails from him and his staff that reveal an iTunes playlist nearly as damning as his human rights record.

It includes Chris Brown, Leona Lewis, Blake Shelton’s “God Gave Me You,” LMFAO’s “Sex and I Know It,” and Right Said Fred’s “Don’t Talk Just Kiss.” Yep, Right Said Fred.

Life is bizarre sometimes, isn’t it?
