Who Is the Neglected Rocker Behind That Viral Photo?
Earlier today, a photo appeared online and quickly mystified the music world, rocketing to the top of online curation engine Reddit. The photo shows a musician obscured behind a handwritten note explaining his lifelong troubles in the music business, mostly from not receiving royalties. He writes, "Only one percent of artists can afford to sue. I am the 99 percent." Can you figure out who it is?
Lucky for you, Fuse figured it out! It's Lester Chambers, lead singer of soul rock group The Chambers Brothers. A version of his hit song, "Time Has Come Today," played on The Ed Sullivan Show, is below. We hope this dude gets the all the money and recognition that should come with writing a song that rules as much as that one.
