Barack Obama Shouts Out Young Jeezy at White House Correspondents' Dinner
From shrugging off opponents with a metaphorical brush of dirt off his shoulder to calling Kanye West a "jackass" following Swiftgate, Barack Obama has earned his "hip hop president" designation. At the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner Saturday night (April 28), our commander in chief continued the tradition, dropping a Young Jeezy reference on the black tie Beltway crowd.
Discussing his "secret agenda" should he be re-elected in November, Obama told the crowd, "In my first term, I sang Al Green. In my second term, I'm going with Young Jeezy." After getting the nod from wife Michelle, the president said, "I'll sing that to her sometime."
Besides the obvious highlight of the most powerful person in the world intimating that he croons trap music to his wife, let us all look at the woman in the video above at 0:07. The frozen smile. The quick rightward gaze that says, "I have no idea what that means." In a room filled with journalists and politicians, she is probably not alone.
