A Place To Bury Strangers: "You Are the One"
Here's the first song from the atmospheric New York shoegazers' upcoming album, Dead Oceans (what a pleasant title!) Come for the psychedelic washes of guitar and brittle Joy Division-esque drumming, but stay for the awesome spindly guitar pickin.'

Japandroids: "Jack the Ripper"
The noisy yet anthemic Canadian duo shed their typically joyous sound for their cover of this 1992 track by the perpetually dour songwriting genius Nick Cave. Like Jack the Ripper, it's soothing in a most unsavory way.

Ane Brun: "Neighborhood #1"
Norwegian folk singer/songwriter Ane (pronounced 'Ah-na') Brun owns her stripped-down cover of Arcade Fire's 2004 classic. [Rolling Stone]

Sad Baby Wolf: "Everything Is"
Two former Shins members (Marty Crandall and Neal Langford) are now heading up a group called Sad Baby Wolf and this song is their fuzzed out, smile-inducing cover of Neutral Milk Hotel''s first-ever single ever. Who needs a James Mercer anyway? [Stereogum]

Game ft. Fat Joe & Young Chris: "GreyStone"
Shout-outs to West Side (sure) and State Farm (huh?) pop up on this serviceable but forgettable track from Game's upcoming mixtape. [Prefix]
