Janet Jackson's Nip Slip May Reach U.S. Supreme Court
You thought you could go the rest of your life without reading about Janet Jackson's nip slip at the 2004 Super Bowl, right? Wrong! A reporter for Politico tweeted that the Federal Communications Commission filed an appeal with the United States Supreme Court about the $550,000 fine the FCC wants CBS to pay for the wardrobe malfunction that occurred during Jackson's performance with Justin Timberlake of Timberlake's "Rock Your Body."
The FCC is claiming that the Second Circuit court wrongly decided that CBS didn't have to pay the fine because it was so much larger than any other fine they'd ever issued. The Third Circuit Court actually decided the same thing! But the FCC doesn't care. They're taking it to the Supreme Court.
What do you think? Should CBS have to pay $550,000 for showing the world Janet Jackson's nipple? Should the Supreme Court be talking about it? Let us know in the comments!
