M.I.A. Is Writing Music for Julian Assange's TV Show
M.I.A. has long been a vocal supporter of Julian Assange's Wikileaks, going so far as to call her mixtape Vicki Leekx, and now she's getting even closer to the imprisoned mastermind: according to Pitchfork, she's composing music for his new TV show "The World Tomorrow."
"The World Tomorrow," whose first episode airs on English-language Russian television channel RT on April 17, features interviews that Assange has conducted while under house arrest at his home in the English countryside. He's already filmed twelve episodes, and a press release for the show promises "the most interesting and controversial people alive in the world today," including "politicians, revolutionaries, intellectuals, artists and visionaries."
