If you missed LCD Soundsystem's final show at Madison Square Garden and you've been kicking yourself ever since, you've got the chance to see something almost as good! A documentary about the show and the end of the band called Shut Up and Play the Hits is coming to theaters around the country for one night only on July 18.
Before he died, Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch, whose company Oscilloscope Laboratories is putting out the movie, said, "It can be pretty clear when a band starts, but perhaps less so when it ends, or how it should end. In that sense, it's brilliant of James [Murphy] to end it in such a definitive way."
And if your demands don't work, Oscilloscope Laboratories and the Creators Project have a contest to fly you and your guest to New York for a screening of the documentary and a meet-and-greet with James Murphy.
Check out the trailer below and then demand they bring the movie to your city!
