New Pearl Jam Album Is "Three Quarters Done"
While talking to Billboard about the upcoming album from his alt-rock outfit Brad, Stone Gossard revealed that his main rock band—a group of Seattle locals called Pearl Jam—will have a new album ready sometime later this year.
Well, at least they hope to.
"We really want to finish a record this year," Gossard says. "[The album is] between half and three quarters done, but we got some new material and we're excited about hopefully doing some more work on that later in the year."
Gossard also teased that fellow Pearl Jam axeman Mike McCready is writing "fantastic [material] that reminds me of Motörhead. I hope that one is in the mix coming up."
So if touring, side projects and frontman Eddie Vedder's nerve damage don't sidetrack them too much longer, we can probably expect the tenth album from the grunge veterans sometime this fall. At this point, they're probably regretting the fact that their debut album was called Ten. Sound off below!
