Secret Lana Del Rey Debut Album Possibly Uncovered
Before Lana Del Rey was Lana Del Rey, she recorded straightforward singer/songwriter music under her birth name, Lizzy Grant. But now Stereogum is reporting that she recorded under yet another name even earlier—and that an album has surfaced online!
The album, called Sirens, was reportedly recorded under the moniker May Jailer. Nobody is sure if it's actually Lana Del Rey singing on the album, but the cover photo (which could have been manipulated) is certainly of her, and if the person singing on the tracks isn't Lana Del Rey, we'd be shocked.
She sings over acoustic guitars and gives glimmers of the Lana Del Rey to come. The songs are pretty good too! Listen to four of the tracks below and let us know what you think of May Jailer!
