Watch the Black Keys' Bizarre Second Video for "Gold on the Ceiling"
Harmony Korine, the man who wrote 1995's brilliant Kids, might not have been the first filmmaker The Black Keys' "Gold on the Ceiling" brought to mind, but the band went with him anyway! And he turned out something incredibly weird that you may find awesome. It's called only Ceiling and the band are calling it a "film" instead of a music video, probably because they've already released this music video for the song.
In the clip, you can watch Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney being carried by enormous versions of themselves, and then see them carrying tiny versions of themselves. The song cuts out several times because the video is supposed to look like a VHS and the clip ends with a pair of twins interrupting the tune to talk about the gold they have on a plate in front of them. The whole thing is much stranger than Riff Raff's James Franco connection to Korine's upcoming film starring Selena Gomez.
So check out the second video for "Gold on the Ceiling" above and let us know what you think of this spectacle in the comments!
