Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen Attempt To Make The World's Catchiest Song
Just when you thought Carly Rae Jepsen might be ending her reign as the queen of the earworm, she's teamed up with electro-pop singer-songwriter Owl City in an attempt to completely take over your mind—or make you go officially nuts—on their latest collaboration, "Good Time." It's a bit of a synth overload, but it should still find its way into a romcom trailer by the time you're done reading this post.
It's all rainbows, lollipops and sunshine as Adam Young and Carly Rae chant about how great life is: "Good morning and good night / I wake up at twilight / It's gonna be alright / We don't even have to try, it's always a good time." Then the children's choir kicks in and you're having a Natasha Bedingfield moment a la Easy A. To Carly's credit though, life probably is pretty rad right now—"Call Me Maybe" is a No. 1 single.
