Justin Bieber Performs Through Power Outage At Apollo Theater
So it wasn't exactly a pitch-dark dance party when the power went out at Justin Bieber's Monday night show at Harlem's Apollo Theater, but the technological tumble still looked like a hell of a lot of fun. Always the good sport, Biebs treated his audience to an unplugged set when a power outage forced his band to sit the rest of the show out. His set was literally too hot for the venue. (I'm here all week.)
Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, was informed the power outage would only last for a few minutes, but after nearly 40, Bieber understandably got a little frustrated. But never fear, Justin's totally profesh: "He walks out, he literally quiets the crowd, and he says, 'I'm sorry the power is out,'" Braun told the Associated Press. "[But] you guys have always had my back. I'm going to sing 'Boyfriend' and you're going to sing it back to me.'"
And that's exactly what happened. The entire crowd chanted along to every "Boyfriend" lyric while Justin and his dancers continued the show as best they could. Swaggy personified.
