Justin Bieber's "Believe" Might Have the Biggest Debut Week of 2012
Move over, Adele (or whoever's currently No. 1 on the charts), the Billboard charts have a new No. 1! Or at least they will, next week, when Justin Bieber's Believe hits the top. He's estimated to sell between 400,000 and 500,000 copies of the album, which is more than Madonna sold (359,000) to have the previous biggest debut week of 2012, but fewer than Adele sold in the week after the GRAMMY Awards (730,000).
According to Idolator, Bieber may wind up with three albums in the top 200 if Believe pushes up sales of his last two albums, My World 2.0 and Under the Mistletoe, his Christmas album. No word yet on whether his debut album, a little-known grindcore/drone metal project called Hail to the Satantic Priest, will chart.
So did you buy a copy of Believe? How do you like it? Let us know in the comments and be sure to tune into our Justin Bieber Takeover on July 21 featuring videos all day and an exclusive Q&A with the Biebs himself!
