Garbage's Shirley Manson Acquires Search Warrant Against Twitter Stalker
According to The Daily Beast, Twitter user @Gunn2urhead has been threatening Shirley Manson and other members of Garbage since the release of their latest album, Not Your Kind Of People, on May 14. The Twitter user, whose name is listed as Ray Gunn, believes that Manson holds some kind of mental power over him, claming that she's using "telepathy" to "torture" Gunn.
Garbage's manager Paul Kremen has since been in contact with the LAPD. Police responded quickly and obtained a search warrant requesting information on @Gunn2urhead's account from Twitter. "[Manson] stated that she is in great fear for her and her family's safety due to the nature of the threats, the sheer volume of them and the 'crazy' sounding messages being posted towards her," the warrant reveals. "She stated she has never had anything like this on this level occur to her and she is very frightened and wants the threats to be investigated fully."
After the nearly month-long barrage of threats, Gunn hasn't tweeted since June 21. LAPD are still reportedly investigating the tweets and hope to bring criminal charges against the user once they are identified.
