Listen: Band of Horses Unveil New Album & Track
Good news: Southern-fried, reverb-drenched indie rockers Band of Horses will return on September 18 with Mirage Rock, their fourth album and follow-up to 2010's Infinite Arms. The Seattle-born, South Carolina-based band--creators of perhaps one of the best post-millennial albums with 2006's Everything All the Time--just dropped a new track online. You can get "Knock Knock" as a free download if you pre-order Mirage Rock on iTunes, or listen in the player below. Check out the track's music video below, too.
P.S. Band of Horses are killer live. This summer the band have a handful of dates with My Morning Jacket, which is another top-notch live act. So if you haven't seen BoH or MMJ in the flesh already, well, I highly suggest you do this summer. It's a double dose of indie rock from South of the Mason Dixon. See the full tour schedule here.
Are you as excited for Band of Horses' return as I am? Sound off in the comments.
