When Walmart told fans they'd send reggaeton rapper Pitbull to perform at the Walmart store that received the most "likes" on Facebook, they probably weren't expecting a caliente concert in the arctic. But thanks to humor writer David Thorpe (The Boston Phoenix, somethingawful.com), the Walmart in Kodiak, Alaska might soon be the proud new owner of a Pitbull. (At least for a day.)
As part of a promotional stunt for Sheets Energy Strips, Pitbull will visit whichever Walmart in the U.S. receives the most "likes" on Facebook by July 15. Since the #ExilePitbull campaign began, Walmart Kodiak has over 41,000 "likes" to date. Walmart spokeswoman Sarah Spencer confirmed, "He's definitely coming to Kodiak if Kodiak wins." Chances aren't looking so hot, Pit.
Despite the thought of being sent to a place that looks like this, Pitbull ain't never scared. The "Give Me Everything" rapper recently tweeted, "I hear there's bear repellant at Kodiak, Alaska."
