After the Strokes' management and record label denied the band was working on new material after they were allegedly spotted at Electric Lady Studios in New York City earlier this year, fans were bummed. But in the latest issue of NME, Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr.'s father Albert Hammond Sr. has revealed that the reports are actually true. Way to blow their cover, Dad.
Hammond Sr. revealed to NME, "Albert says that the stuff they're doing is incredible. They're doing it themselves with their friend, engineer and producer. He just says 'Dad, it's incredible.'" The as-yet-untitled fifth album will be the Strokes' follow-up to 2011's Angles.
