Watch Jack White Go to Prison in "Freedom at 21" Video
We saw a preview of the Hype Williams-directed video for Jack White's "Freedom at 21" last week, but thankfully we didn't have to wait long for the real deal: the third video from White's Blunderbuss album has arrived!
Williams retains his hyper-kinetic editing style, but gone is the director's trademark fishbowl lenses he popularized in the late 1990s/early 2000s. Instead, we get Williams' take on grindhouse cinema; White is on the run in a '70s-style car chase scene, before he's arrested by a foxy female officer, who, ahem, books him (and much, much more (wink, wink)) into the jailhouse. The whole clip is saturated in blue hues, too, lending it an arty, cinematic vibe. Oh, and Josh Homme, of Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures fame, plays a police officer at the end of the video.
Watch the video above, then tell us what you think in the comments.
