Insane Clown Posse Explain Rare Geto Boys Collabo

When Fuse sat down with Insane Clown Posse to get their Definitive Guide to the Gathering of the Juggalos, we also learned how they netted Houston hip hop veterans Geto Boys for their upcoming album The Mighty Death Pop! and their middle-of-nowhere music fest.

"[They are] our favorite, most-inspiring group ever," Violent J says reverentially. "Me and [Geto Boy] Willie D were talking about doing a side project—I just threw it out there and he was having it. And then while we were doing the [upcoming ICP] album, we were like, 'Do you think you could help us get Scarface and Bushwick [Bill, the other two Geto Boys]?' And he was like, 'Sure.'

"Somehow we pulled it off—we got all three of them on the album. It will be the first time the Geto Boys have ever done a collaboration on anybody's record. All three of them on one record has never happened."

The duo also explain why The Mighty Death Pop! may be their last physical release: "This is kind of our farewell to the physical CD. Times are changing, it's all about downloads now," Violent J says.

"You can't even buy CDs no more," Shaggy 2 Dope agrees. "I don't even know sh*t about the Internet or nuttin' so I go to Best Buy [and the] CD aisle is like this big [motions with hands]. I'm like, 'What's going on over here?'"

But panic not, Jugglaos: The Mighty Death Pop! will come out in three different physical formats, each with a separate lengthy bonus disc of content. To find out what each bonus CD entails, watch the full video above.
