Missy Elliott, Timbaland Not Involved in Posthumous Aaliyah Album
Despite what you may or may not have heard about the upcoming posthumous Aaliyah album that Drake's reportedly producing, Aaliyah's friends and collaborators Missy Elliott and Timbaland are not involved in the project. "We have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate," Missy Elliott's manager, Mona Scott-Young, told Billboard. "We've seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case."
Fans have been vocal (both for and against) the upcoming Aaliyah project, many of them demanding that Missy and Timbaland have a hand in the album, since the pair worked so closely with Aaliyah during the height of her career.
Let us know how you feel about Missy Elliott and Timbaland not being part of this rumored album in the comments. And give "Enough Said" another listen to hear the Drake take on Aaliyah's sound.
