Exclusive: Wiz Khalifa Reveals "O.N.I.F.C." Release Is Pushed to September

When Fuse's Esteban Serrano chopped it up with Wiz Khalifa backstage on the Under the Influence Tour, he got the scoop about some major changes on the O.N.I.F.C. front.

"We moving to September 18," Khalifa says of his upcoming album, which was slated for an August 28 release until this revelation.

Another big change: It sounds like deadmau5who was sampled on his new record's title track—won't appear on O.N.I.F.C. after all.

"I don't have a deadmau5 record. Sledgen [one of his album's producers] sampled deadmau5 for O.N.I.F.C. but we would have had to pay way too much money and sampling is at an all-time high right now," Khalifa says, before being interrupted by a knock on the door and cursing out the interloper. "deadmau5 didn't produce it, but shoutout to deadmau5 if he wants to do something."

So it sounds like the track (which also appears on his Taylor Allderdice mixtape) has been recut without the sample…? Or perhaps the album will no longer contain the title track. We'll have to wait to find out.
