Green Day's promotional plan for ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tre! has been derailed by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong's admission into rehab, causing the group to cancel all 2012 shows, but the band continues to fight the good promo fight with "The Forgotten," a new video from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack.
The video, available at MTV.com, intersperses footage of the band in the studio with scenes from the film, satisfying that sweet nexus of punk and teen vampire fiction fans.
"When we were asked to be part of the soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon, and we have always been impressed with the way the Twilight soundtracks are so carefully curated," bassist Mike Dirnt said in a release.
The Twilight soundtrack, featuring new music from Ellie Goulding, Feist and Passion Pit will be released on November 13, the same day as Green Day's ¡Dos!
