Kendrick Lamar Drops J. Cole-Produced "The Jig Is Up (Dump'n)"
After tweeting earlier today that "The week is up... Yall did it... AppreciatIon day is TODAY," Kendrick Lamar dropped "The Jig Is Up (Dump'n)," a new track produced by J. Cole.
This being 2012, Lamar released the track immediately after hopping in the studio with Cole last night with no pesky promotional plan or marketing strategies to muck up the music. And it sounds slightly better than his "Silent Night" rendition he sang to us.
How do we know it's a new track? Lamar references Shyne's recent disparaging comments about his debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city, rhyming "I pray to God this beat is good enough for Shyne/If not J. Cole your sh-t is traaaash... at least my opinion just made everyone laugh." Your move, Shyne.
