Watch 'Rolling Stone' Cover Stars Karmin Rap!

We recently caught up with Karmin—the engaged indie-pop duo known for their viral YouTube covers and recent hit single, "Brokenhearted"—at the Hard Rock Rocks Times Square benefit for St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children. The couple chatted with us about their Rolling Stone cover and the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey American Idol beef. They even busted out a rap on the red carpet. Watch the full interview above (and get the highlights below).

Singer Amy Heidemann on Karmin's "Women Who Rock" Rolling Stone cover: "It's overwhelming, and I still haven't really accepted it. But we want to thank the fans [who voted for the band to win the cover spot]. It was all fan votes. We're very honored."

On their engagement and upcoming wedding: "We want it to be perfect. But what that's going to require is time, which we really haven't had because of our platinum single and this new album and world tour."

On the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey American Idol feud: "It's not real. They're both too nice for that."
