Mumford & Sons hit the road for a solid three years after their debut, Sigh No More, launched in 2009. Now that their new album Babel has earned them a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, gone platinum and launched another major tour, will the British folk rockers coast on the success?
"Will we wait years for the next album? F-ck, no," banjo player "Country" Winston Marshall tells NME. "You heard it here first. We've just started working on new songs, got a rehearsal studio. They're bones of songs, but really exciting bones. Sturdy bones."
Mumford are starting to sound like they could write enormous, triumphant tunes in their sleep, so if the bones are there, you might as well go ahead and get your hopes up for something new in 2013.
