Adele Will Make Her TV Performance Return at the 2013 Oscars
Adele spent her (very rewarding) time at the Golden Globes "pissing herself laughing," but the new mother will be a shade busier when she hits the Oscars on February 24. Hollywood Reporter reveals the British soul singer will make her first U.S. TV performance appearance since the Grammys to sing her James Bond theme song "Skyfall," which is nominated for the Best Original Song Oscar. [To your right, observe Adele answering the question, "How big is Daniel Craig?"]
While I'm not totally tuned in to the politics of the Oscars, I'm having a hard time imagining Adele not taking the gold. Her competition: A song from Ted, a Life of Pi banger and a tune from a climate change documentary. There's also a new addition to Les Miserables, a song the producers blatantly commissioned just so they could compete in this Oscar category. But could a song entrusted to Hugh Jackman really compete with Adele's pipes? Answer: No.
So tune into the Oscars to see Adele deliver what will undoubtedly be the most entertaining acceptance speech of the night.
