We Dare You Not to Get Charli XCX's "You (Ha Ha Ha)" Stuck in Your Head
It seems like England native Charli XCX took all of her musical influences (Siouxsie and the Banshees and Sham 69 among them), put them in a bottle, shook it up and let it explode all over her most recent single, "You (Ha Ha Ha)." We don't really know what's going on, but we like it.
The electro-pop jam sees Charli (born Charlotte Aitchison) sampling electro composer Gold Panda's 2010 track "You" and throwing her charismatic, punk-influenced vocals over the instrumentals. Fill the video with a bunch of girls in neon clothes carrying machine guns, and boom, radness is born.
Charli XCX's debut album arrives this spring. Her Super Ultra mixtape is out now.
