Clive Davis Comes Out as Bisexual
Iconic record producer Clive Davis, 80, has come out as bisexual. According to the Hollywood Reporter, on Tuesday's episode of Katie, Clive revealed that he "opened himself up to the possibility that [he] could have a relationship with a man" after his second marriage ended in the 1980s. “I'm still attracted to women," he continued. "You don't have to be only one thing or another. For me, it's the person.”
Why did Davis wait so long before coming out of the closet? It could have something to do with the release of his memoir, The Soundtrack of My Life, which hits shelves today.
As Rolling Stone reports, in the book Clive unveils that he had a long-term relationship with a man from 1990 to 2004 and has been in a subsequent relationship with another man ever since.
Clive Davis has been in the music industry since the mid-'60s and has discovered or produced such inimitable acts as Janis Joplin, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys. Davis has won four Grammy awards and, not for nothing, also knows how to throw an epic Grammy party himself.
