UK Dance-Pop Singer Little Boots Gets Dark on "Motorway"
UK electropop singer Little Boots (Victoria Hesketh to her mum), rose out of disco-pop group Dead Disco to release 2009's Hands, a scintillating fusion of dance of pop whose title track "Stuck on Repeat" (produced by Hot Chip's Joe Goddard) was a dark dance masterpiece.
The singer returns with the shimmering, propulsive "Motorway," the first track off her upcoming sophomore album Nocturnes.Produced by DFA head Tim Goldsworthy with writing credit from Jeppe Laursen—the co-writer of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way"—Nocturnes is, according to Little Boots, "an album indebted to the night." Check out the first nocturnal emission "Motorway" above.
