Steven Tyler Has Snorted Lots (& Lots) of Cocaine
Steven Tyler has always been open about his debauched days as the lead singer of Aerosmith but in a recent interview he gets very specific.
When Liz Hayes of Australia's 60 Minutes asked the rambunctious singer about his 2011 memoir Does the Noise in My Head Bother You? in which he stated that he snorted about $20 million worth of cocaine, the singer clarified the actual amount was more like $5 million to $6 million.
"But it doesn't matter," he said. "You also could say I snorted half of Peru, but it doesn't matter. You know, it's what we did."
Thanks for the clarification, Steven.
In other sobering news Tyler, and his Toxic Twin bandmate Joe Perry, will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held in New York on June 13.
Hayes asked Tyler how he feels about the "Toxic Twins" moniker now, and Tyler responded, "We still are, we still can be toxic. We fight toxically, we play toxically."
The interview airs on Sunday. Check out a preview below:
