Regardless of whether you're interested in seeing Dave Grohl's documentary about a recording studio, it's hard not to be curious about an album that pairs members of Slipknot and Cheap Trick, Foo Fighters with Stevie Nicks and, of course, Paul McCartney fronting the reunited Nirvana.
So those of us who didn't catch one of the limited screenings of Grohl's documentary can finally hear the diametrically opposed collaborations thanks to NPR, which is streaming the entire Sound City: Real to Reel soundtrack now.
It's 55 minutes of rock magic and includes members of every band listed below, plus Rick Springfield. Listen to it at top volume, and when you're done with that, check out Grohl talking about taking his kids to school "in a f-cking minivan" when he's not busy being the coolest '90s rock vet around.
