Snoop Lion Enlists Drake, Chris Brown & Rita Ora for New Album
Snoop Lion, formerly known as Snoop Dogg (R.I.P.), will soon show the world what his reincarnation is all about—his album, aptly titled Reincarnated, drops April 23 and will feature pals Drake, Chris Brown and Rita Ora, among others.
Diplo, who produced Reincarnated, dished on the new album at the Grammys. "We were in Jamaica for three weeks. It was awesome, we smoked a lot of weed." Snoop? Weed? No way.
T.I., Busta Rhymes and Akon will also appear on the album, along with dancehall artists Popcaan and Mavado. Snoop said about his reggae influences, "We were searching for true reggae music and the message of peace and hope it reflects. It's so much a part of who I am, and this record is all about paying homage and giving respect to those who created and love reggae music, and hopefully introducing it to a whole new audience."
Fans can get a preview of the album via a new documentary, titled—wait for it—Reincarnated, which drops in select cities March 15. Check out the trailer below.
