Rookie Mag, a website headed by 16-year-old fashion blogger Tavi Gevinson, has some pretty sophisticated musical chops for a tween and teen site--Morrissey was dishing advice in February. And the addition of Atoms for Peace's Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich to the line-up of famous faces, including Jimmy Fallon and Jon Hamm, could not be lovelier.
In the clip, the famed musicians field reader questions on topics like love, sex and even deodorant.
If you're really, really, really shy, then how do you approach a crush?
"If you can’t bare to talk to him, just write ‘em a note," Yorke said.
And how do you know if you love someone?
"If someone gives you a jolt, like electricity, then you have a crush on ‘em. But do a little research first!" Godrich suggested.
And the morality of breaking up with someone because they are “boring”?
“Run away,” Yorke deadpanned.
How about insecurity surrounding physical imperfections...?
"They are wonderful things," Godrich said. "If you like somebody and someone has an imperfection they are generally the things you really end up identifying with that person specifically."
Yorke closes the session by recounting issues he had concerning his (now famous) left eye and the first person who said “It’s the nicest thing about you.” Godrich gave him a hug and Yorke responds, “No one has a symmetrical face; no one’s body is perfect, don’t worry.”
