Unknown Mortal Orchestra Add More Funk to Lindstrom's "Rà-àkõ-st"
Earlier this month, we told you about Norwegian disco-house producer Lindstrom's cover of "Swim and Slip (Like a Shark)," the latest track by psych-pop trio Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Now the Orchestra have returned the favor, covering Lindstrom's rolls-off-the-tongue track "Rà-àkõ-st."
Adding wah-wahs and propulsive guitar runs that evoke 1970s car chases on TV, Unknown Mortal Orchestra retain the danciness of the original track while adding their own psychedelic elements. Fun fact: "Rà-àkõ-st" means "raw vegetables" in English. Okay. Take a listen above.
