As I Lay Dying Respond to Frontman's Alleged Murder-for-Hire Plot

Fans weren't the only ones shocked by As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis' arrest Tuesday for allegedly soliciting an undercover detective to kill his wife. In a statement on the metalcore outfit's website, Lambesis' bandmates said they were equally stunned to learn of the jaw-dropping allegations.

"We have no more information than you do," said the four members of AILD who were not arrested in a murder-for-hire plot. "There are many unanswered questions and the situation will become clearer in the coming days and weeks. We'll keep you informed as best we can."

Lambesis' bandmates were careful not to defend or decry him in their statement. "Our thoughts right now are with Tim, his family, and with everyone else affected by this terrible situation," they wrote. "Thank you for understanding, and as always, for your support of As I Lay Dying."
