Chvrches Move Into Robyn Territory on New Single "Gun"
Despite having released one EP this year (or ever, for that matter), Scottish electropop outfit Chvrches have been one of the most consistent and prolific bands of 2013.
Aside from their own remarkable originals, they delivered a killer take on the Game of Thrones theme and a stunning acoustic cover of Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name."
Now they've dropped "Gun," a new single that eschews the lovelorn atmospherics of their last single "Recover" in favor of a sing-along '80s vibe. Actually, it sounds a bit like they got sick of listening to Depeche Mode's Violator on repeat decided to mine the delirious dance-pop of "Just Can't Get Enough" instead.
Listen to the insanely fun track above and don't be surprised if the Robyn crowd moves in on Chvrches soon.
