King Tuff's "She's on Fire" Is Pure T. Rextasy

Garage rock cult hero King Tuff broke through to the underground mainstream last year with his self-titled debut, a sunny/psychedelic update on his much-loved, hard-to-find 2008 debut Was Dead. Thankfully, Tuff—the garage-psych alter ego of Kyle Thomas—isn't waiting another four years before giving fans new tunes.

Tuff recently dropped a compulsively listenable gem called "She's On Fire" featuring fellow indie rockers Gap Dream. An ode to that special kind of lady who can make "all the boys explode like volcanoes," this T. Rex-indebted track finds Tuff playing around with some joyfully blippy electronics in addition to his gee-tar and snotty vocal delivery.

Listen here and keep an eye out for its official release on Adult Swim's Garage Swim compilation, which also features the Black Lips and Thee Oh Sees.
