It Sounds Like a Choir of Beyoncés Recorded Her New Song "Rise Up"
Beyoncé spoiled the end of her new movie Epic, but the song she recorded for the flick, "Rise Up," remained a surprise for moviegoers.
Almost two weeks after its release, the film's inspirational ballad has leaked (what took so long?). The track builds on layers of beautiful harmonies to a powerful chorus that sounds like it was a sung by a choir of Beyoncés. Imagine that.
The track was co-written by Sia (who's penned Rihanna's "Diamonds" and David Guetta's "Titanium") and produced by Hit-Boy (Jay-Z and Kanye West's "N****s in Paris" and Kelly Rowland's "Lay It on Me"). It was said to be released last month, but the film's soundtrack appears on iTunes without "Rise Up."
