"Every comic wants to be a musician. Every musician thinks they're funny." Wise words once said by Dave Chappelle, who, along with Flight of the Conchords and Funny Or Die, has a 13-date touring festival coming that should reel in more than a few music lovers. Flight of the Conchords deliver their humor through songs, sure, but Chappelle has just as much of a connection to music. The man hosted everyone from Mos Def to Busta Rhymes to Killer Mike to the Roots to Cee Lo Green to Kanye West on his Comedy Central show.

Lest you wonder for a moment if Chappelle knows how to engineer a good time, look no further than Dave Chappelle's Block Party, the incredible, essential concert film from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director and music video veteran Michel Gondry. (Which for some glorious reason is just chilling out, in full, on YouTube. Although now it's probably been killed since we told you about it. Sadface.) If the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival ends up being one percent as fun as Chappelle's Brooklyn block party looked to be, you'll want to be there.

Also on the fest's lineup are Hannibal Burress (who directed and appeared in a music video for Chicago's Chance the Rapper), Demetri Martin (a comic who uses no shortage of song humor himself), Al Madrigal, John Mulaney, Kristen Schaal, Chris D'Elia, Brody Steven, and Jim Jefferies.  Watch Funny or Die's monster truck-tastic announcement video and catch the tour dates below:
